By now you have heard that I'm moving back to Munday, Texas, my hometown. And I'm buying a house there. It needs a little work before it's livable, but I'll have it in shape in no time. No, this is not the house. Had you going for a little bit didn't I.
This is a house I've driven by countless times on trips to Abilene or from Abilene. It sits on the north side of the curve on the north side of Anson. In the early years of my travels the house was occupied and I thought it was a nice-looking house in those years. It has since been abandoned and allowed to fall apart. Did you ever think about houses have personalities and hearts? I think they do. Haven't you noticed as long as someone lives in a house the house does its best to stay together for those who live in it. But when the same house is abandoned it slowly decays and falls apart. For some reason it's hard for the owner to take them down. I've never been in that situation so I can't speak from experience. You reckon that's why we see so many old house sitting around, falling down. Often there will be a new brick home not far away. The old home place has memories that might be lost if it were torn down.
I am moving back to Munday. When I'm not sure. I have a lot to do to my Fort Worth place before I can put it on the market. Lauren, my daughter-in-law says it has to pass her inspection before I can put it on the market. Anyway the move should happen sometime in the summer. I pray that it will happen sometime in the summer.
I'll run a picture of the house I'm actually buying in my next posting.
Take care now.
